Confirmed reporting
The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to trade Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick, the club announced Wednesday. The deal is pending a physical.
Jurgens, a 2022 second-round pick from Nebraska, appeared in 62 games with 45 starts for Philadelphia and earned two Pro Bowl selections, according to the Eagles.
The move adds another major personnel change to Philadelphia’s offensive line during Week 5. The Eagles said Jurgens moved from center to left guard after Landon Dickerson was placed on injured reserve, with Drew Kendall taking over at center.
What the trade does not establish
The Eagles did not announce a replacement lineup or a timetable for any further moves. The immediate on-field configuration remains a question for Philadelphia ahead of Sunday’s game against Jacksonville in London.
Baltimore’s need is clearer: the Ravens had placed centers Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic on injured reserve last week, according to NFL.com.
FourthWire analysis
The return gives Philadelphia future draft capital, including a 2028 second-round pick, while removing another established interior-line option from the current roster. With Lane Johnson’s retirement already confirmed this week, the Eagles’ offensive-line continuity is now a central Week 5 storyline. That is analysis, not a reported team plan.
This story will be updated only if the physical is completed or either club announces a further roster move.
What Baltimore said
The Ravens announced the trade on their official site on Wednesday afternoon, describing Jurgens as a long-term solution at center after Danny Pinter, Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic all landed on injured reserve. General manager Eric DeCosta said Jurgens is "a player we have long admired going all the way back to the draft process." The club noted that Jurgens is in the concussion protocol, so his Baltimore debut is not expected this week; the Eagles' announcement still lists the deal as pending a physical.
